At Guardian Mosquito – Tick & Turf Control, we believe everyone should be able to enjoy their outdoor space without the frustration of pests.
Founder Dan Steenstra started the company after noticing, as a professional landscaper, that many clients loved their yards but avoided using them because of persistent mosquitoes and ticks. Drawing on his experience with organic fertilizers and pest-control products, Dan developed a hybrid, kid- and pet-friendly formula that effectively keeps pests and weeds at bay.
In 2023, long-time employee Suann Lehman took the reins, preserving Guardian’s expertise while making it one of the first women-owned pest control businesses in the region. Recognized by her peers as a local mosquito and tick expert, Suann has shared her knowledge as a guest on multiple podcasts (Pestrogen and Pest Perspectives), in magazine articles, and on local news programs.
